These rape statistics do not reflect true crime figures as government is in denial that South Africa has a problem. Prosecution of sexual offenders is difficult, many never reported. Due to corruption even in our police force and a moratorium on actual figures the following reflects only the tip of the iceberg.

144 women raped daily. Thats six women every hour.The forced abuse of women as objects of free sex, in this country is a reality that is escalating out of control. Where have the days gone,where women could walk the streets, without fear, go to the beach in a bikini without been stalked as a possible rape victim.

A lesser crime of theft comes in a 1660 a day

This can not be true. It is stated there are only 37 hijacks a day.

Crime is down apparently, its under control, yet our prisons are full many times over. Government ministers travel in convey, have numerous body guards for protection against criminal elements,

Yet they redirect and misappropriate state funds for personal security. What is not understood is that you can go from a nobody to a politician and suddenly you fear for your life and need state of the art security at your residence and require at least two personal body guards.

It is either their ego, vanity and sudden status of somebody in power or South Africa is just one big ghetto where the criminal rules and they indeed fear for their lives like the rest of us South Africans.
