The City of Cape Towns Valuation department received over 37000 objections to the valuations scam. Lodging of a objection does not defer liability for payment of rates.

In a so called democratic South Africa power lies in the masses and homeowners should stand up together and refuse to pay these ridiculous rates increases. Just as taxi, and trade unions can bring traffic and work to halt, homeowners can bring the City of Cape Town to its knees.

City services are down, yet more money is squeezed out of rate payers.

Public open space next to your maintained property looks like above picture, yet you get a 600% rates increase. Dirt and general decay is the order of the day. How the idiots arrived at these rates valuations is still unknown. Nobody came round checking the suburb out.
